Former learners of the Hentie Cilliers High School in Virginia recently gathered to celebrate their 40-year school reunion (the class of 1986). With this get-together they proved that time has done nothing to weaken the strong bonds formed during their school days. The reunion was during the weekend of 6 March, and was filled with with laughter, memories, and heartfelt moments as classmates reconnected and shared stories from the past four decades. The reunion also included a touching moment of remembrance. Since the previous reunion, the group lost their friend Vickus Prinsloo. To honour his memory, a candle was lit during the gathering – a quiet but meaningful tribute to a friend who will always remain part of their class.
