The man suspected of killing the Gr. 12 Welkom High learner Thato Tumahole (19) will be charged with murder, defeating the ends of justice and violating a human corpse – after DNA results have confirmed that the human remains that were found in an abandoned mine in Welkom are hers. The charred remains were retrieved by a mine proto team after the man had pointed out the location. The 22-year-old suspect, Mamello Katleho Seape, will reappear in the Welkom Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 7 June, for a bail application.
