Well-known community worker Joy Makhathe of ward 27 donated the rollator (a type of walker, also referred to as a dual wheeled walker) to Pakiso Theresia Mahase, owner of the Rebaone Disability Centre. “Mme Mahase needs more of this kind of equipment. She assists people with physical disabilities in her centre,” says Makhathe. He says Mahase has identified a real need for devices that will be of practical use to people with disabilities.
