Kamohelo Mokotso, Neo Binda and Unathi Kula of the Welkom Technical High School took part in the 2023 national athletics championship in Germiston from 2 to 5 April. They competed in the 400 m, 400 m hurdles, 200 m, 110 m hurdles and 100 m. Kamohelo and Neo succeeded in their qualifying heats and were in the top eight selected for the finals.
