The Lejweleputswa Individual Chess Tournament took place at the Unitas Secondary School in Welkom on 31 May. Three learners of the Rearabetswe Secondary School took part. They are, from the left, Sikhunyana Unathi (qualified for the U15 girls’ category), Machoba Ofentse (qualified for the U18 girls’ category) and Gonoto Siyabulela (U15 boys’ category). With the learners is Godfrey Moepadira, their chess coach and coordinator. These learners will be representing Lejweleputswa in the upcoming Free State Individual Chess Championships.
