The Lenakeng Technical High School played host for the 2025 Virtual Gear Coding and Robotics competition. The event took place on Saturday, 2 August. The competition is a Unisa Science Centre initiative and is supported by ThinkShift and Unicef. Kingdom Academy Welkom, entered a team of four learners in Gr.8 and Gr.9. They competed with learners of other high schools from across the district and emerged victorious in the global high schools category
