Kelebogile Thate (13), a Gr. 6 learner at the Phahamisanang Primary School in Meloding, Virginia, excelled as part of the Free State athletics team that competed in Potchefstroom on Friday (25/03). Leading up to this, on 28 February she competed at the Voluit Primary School in Virginia, where she obtained gold in both the 800 m and 1 500 m. On 5 March she again won gold in these events at the Northern Free State Championship held at the St Helena Primary School. In Potchefstroom Kelebogile maintained her winning streak and again earned gold in both of her races. She was accompanied by team mates Ennie Napo and Mapule Legodi who also represented the Northern Free State. Their coaches are Tshediso Machesa and Noma Ntetha, both educators at Phahamisanang.
