Finalists of the Mr and Miss Matjhabeng beauty pageant visited the Blessing Animal Shelter (BAS). They took the animals food, helped the staff to clean animal cages, and played with the animals. “The staff were truly grateful as they said they were understaffed and that we helped them a lot,” says Rito Madingana, owner of the pageant, which takes place on 2 December at the Ferdi Meyer Hall. The finalists in the age categories 6 to 35 years: Naledi Mokgoetsi, Faith Motheo, Mamello Khang, Bontle Matlhoko, Moratuoa Matomane, Mantjeane Johanna, Puleng Mokoena, Oprah Ramarokolo, Mamello Chabedi, Tumi Mojaki, Karabelo Radebe, Leah Petersen, Mochela Lekitlane, Bayanda Gola, Mpiyonke Mthandeni, Tshepo Alexander Plaatjie, Lerato Morabe, Bokamoso Masoleng, Lencoe Bouwer, Stella Brand, Nicha van Jaarsveld, Junior Lebuso, Karabo Rakgalane, Tshepo Madiehe, Makgauta Lisebe, Caleb Mokoena, and Shivani Williams.
