The residents of the informal housing settlement in Rheederpark extention in Welkom, constantly endure days without water. On these days they are forced to walk kilometres to find water, or they beg a few drops from neighbours in the formal part of Rheederpark. On Thursday, 14 September, jubilant residents could collect household water for the first time in three days.
