It is winter and time for the annual Welkom Muslim Community blanket drive. This year 450 blankets valued at R72 000 were disbursed to needy communities in and around Welkom. On 17 June blankets were handed out to people at the refuse dump at Bronville (photo). For almost 30 years this venture has helped needy people in Matjhabeng to weather the cold winters.
