On 4 November the Goldfields Motorbike Association hosted its annual Day of Kids Fun Run.

Affiliated bike clubs in the area were selected to visit and share gifts at the various youth centres.

The Dogs of War (DOW) Goldfields Motorcycle Club visited the Welriedal child and youth care centre in Riebeeckstad.

The members were able to secure huge contributions from many local and outside companies, including donations of the community, to make this day exceptional for the children.

Welriedal has been serving as a safe house and support centre since 2002 and provides crucial assistance in housing and supporting traumatised children and young people.

The children received various gifts like backpacks, shoes and toiletries.
