Welkom cyclist Omolemo (Omie) Riet came third in the Sol Plaatje University Vice-Chancellor’s Cycle Challenge 2022 in Kimberley on 27 November.
Omie started mountain biking four years ago and eventually progressed to road cycling.
In the last quarter of 2022, Omie competed in the Free State Interprovincial Road Race (99 km), the Amashova (106 km), and the Virgin Active Ride Joburg (97 km) cycling events.
