A whole new kind of protest action is taking to the streets. This photo illustrates working with two of his star Handjie Vol team members, making potholes safe in Odendaalsrus with Tina Fouché and Oom David Mayer, says Jan Jacobs. “We are doing this work in protest of the poor service delivery of the ANC-controlled Matjhabeng Municipality. We are not burning tyres or damaging other people’s vehicles or property. But when you see our group on the streets, we are protesting. We are not doing this because we are crazy people, or in need of jobs. We are normal taxpayers like everyone else. Much of what we do is with the help of AfriForum in Welkom.
