Welkom-Volkskool has been granted a cost order against the Matjhabeng Local Municipality for illegal disconnection of electricity.
On 5 October the High Court in Bloemfontein issued a final court order, including a harsh cost order in favour of the school.
The disconnection was based on the outstanding account of the Department of Education (about R600 000).
Dries Knoetze, from Neumann van Rooyen Attorneys, handled the matter.
