It is a massive honor to lead the Gimmies’ first team hockey boys onto the field for this year’scderby against Goudveld. Our preparation is captured in one word: Believe. We believe in the hard work we’ve put in, we believe in the guidance of our coaches, and most importantly, we believe in the brothers standing next to us. As we often say, there is no I in team. We play as a unit, fueled by the pride of wearing the Gimmie jersey. To our loyal supporters: your energy is what carries us through. We play for you, for our school, and for the tradition we represent. I want to wish the best of luck to every Gimmie competing in the derby, whether you are on the rugby field, the netball court, or the hockey field. To our opponents, we look forward to a match played with the highest integrity.
