THE Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality issued a statement on Tuesday morning, informing residents about the closure of the Korsten driving licence testing centre after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
As a safety precaution NBMB has closed down the Korsten centre as all 39 staff members are now in quarantine. Traffic services such as the collection of driving licence cards, the renewal of driving licences and public driving permits will be affected by the closure.
The Korsten centre was the only centre that was operating in the city owing to Covid-19 limitatons.
The centre will reopen on 9 July after the 14 day quarantine period is over. – REPORTER
