THE SPCA Uitenhage recently hosted elderly guests from the Rosa Munch retirement community. The visit, which took place at the SPCA’s premises, turned out to be an extraordinary event that left the staff grateful.
The Rosa Munch residents had informed the SPCA beforehand that they would be bringing “a few items” for the charity shop. However, upon their arrival, the SPCA team was left speechless by, “the amount of clothing, linen and bric-a-brac they blessed us with,” the SPCA wrote on social media. This generous donation from the elderly comes after a plea from the staff for donations from the community, as winter is approaching.
The team further explained that the morning began with a warm reception where the visitors enjoyed a cup of tea and light refreshments.
The guests then moved into the meet-and-greet area, where they had the opportunity to interact with some of the SPCA’s furry residents.
The SPCA Uitenhage extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who facilitated this visit and, most importantly, to the Rosa Munch residents for their incredible generosity and the special memories created during their time at the shelter.
“We truly hope you enjoyed your time with us as much as we enjoyed yours. Your visit was a heart-warming reminder of the community’s support and the difference it makes in the lives of our animals.”
