DESPATCH – SAPS Despatch are appealing to anyone who may have more information that can assist in the investigation into the murder of a man (35) in Bayland to contact the investigating officer of the case.

According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge, on 28 July 2026 at about 15:35 SAPS Despatch was alerted to a murder at Bayland, Despatch.

“On their arrival they found the severely assaulted body of an unknown male, estimated to be about 35 years old, between houses in Bayland, Despatch,” he said. “He was wearing a light grey shirt and a red pair of trousers with yellow lines at the bottom.”

Beetge added that the motive for the murder and suspect(s) involved are under investigation.

“A murder case was opened and is being investigated by SAPS Despatch,” he said.
