MOST of the rally action for Saturday’s Daniel Pienaar Rally will take place at Jachtvlakte near Kariega and Despatch with two of the six stages, in reverse grid, at Daniel Pienaar THS school grounds.

Access to the Jachtvlakte rally spectator arena will be easy. From Despatch towards Kariega, turn left at the M10 T-Junction intersection towards Bethelsdorp. After 500 metres ignore a tarred road to the right to the containers. You will go straight past this road 100 metres further is a gravel road, turn right.

This is the alternative access road marked “2”. This road may have a possible mudpool not suitable for normal road cars.

The main access road marked “1” is 500 metres further on. Turn right at the Armco barrier and follow the gravel road to the spectator arena where you will be able witness the rally action.

The structure of the event is purely focussed on the spectator value and the Jachtvlakte stages will be repeated meaning that spectators can set up camp with gazebos and controlled braai fires to view the action from 10:00 until 15:00.

Stage 1 and Stage 2 will run in a clockwise direction, and for Stage 3 and Stage 4 the stage will run in the other direction.

Stage 5 and Stage 6 will take place at Daniel Pienaar school grounds starting at 15:30.
