MOUNTAIN bike racing is back and cyclists are invited to the second edition of the Baakens Bash, which will be held at the beginning of November.
The Baakens Valley has been a hub of cycling activity during lockdown. Fat Tracks, in conjunction with Mountain Events, are thrilled to bring cyclists this exciting outdoor event in one of the most scenic routes in Nelson Mandela Bay metropole.
The Baakens Bash will be held on Sunday, November 1 and the starting and finishing points are at the Fat Tracks containers next to William Moffatt Expressway. The distances to participate in are 19km (09:00), 12km (09:15) or 4km kiddies event (09:20).
CSA licences are not required for this race as distances are less than 20km. Cyclists 12 years and younger need to be accompanied by an adult entered into the race.
COVID-19 safety protocols will apply and unfortunately no spectators will be allowed.
