THE Colchester Development Run will take place from the Mackay Bridge Angling Club in Colchester on Saturday, 30 November.
Families are invited to join either the 5km or 10km distance and enjoy all that Colchester, with its stunning Sundays River, has to offer.
The Colchester Run will be a great opportunity for club runners to gain points in this EPA participation league event.
The event will include a 10km starting at 07:00 and a 5km starting at 07:30, with the prize giving and lucky draw prizes taking place at 09:00.
The Colchester Development run is proudly presented by Eastern Province Athletics in partnership with Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and their Legacy Project.
Race organiser, Michael Mbambani, confirmed that all 5km finishers will receive a medal.
Gold medals will be awarded to the first five men and women as well as the category winners.
Silver medals will be awarded to the next 150 athletes, while bronze medals will be given out to all finishers within the cut-off time for the 10km race.
Both races start and finish at Mackay Bridge Angling Club in Colchester.
Participants are encouraged to drive towards Colchester, cross the bridge at Sundays River, then turn right.
Turn right again and follow directions to the Mackay Bridge Angling Club.
The cost for 10km run is R60, 10km runners aged between 60 and 69 years, will pay R30. 10km runners over 70 years will receive free entry. R20 for the 5km Family Run.

Registration and late entries will take place at the race venue from 06:00 on the morning of the race, no registration on Friday evening.
