SAPS Kamesh detectives are seeking the next of kin or anyone who can identify the body of a man found murdered earlier today, September 23, in Kariega.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 07:20 this morning, September 23, SAPS Kamesh responded to a complaint on the gravel road next to Cembu Street graveyard, Mandela, Kariega.
She said on arrival they found the body of a man with gunshot wounds to his head and back.
“The deceased is an unknown coloured man and was dressed in black jeans, with a black belt, black T-shirt, navy jacket and black and white Ellesse tekkies,” said Janse Van Rensburg.
She said that he is between 25 and 30 years of age.
“The motive and the suspect/s are unknown, and a case of murder is under investigation,” said Naidu.
