Naqeesha Koester from Kariega last week graduated from Nelson Mandela University with a Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase Teaching Degree (Cum Laude). She obtained 38 distinctions overall during her four years at NMU.

Naqeesha said the secret to her success is, “Trusting God to answer my prayers and trusting God’s plan for my life.

“My family and friends have been a huge support system and that has been encouraging me to keep going. One other important factor is my goal of being a role model to young girls and boys. Everyone needs to believe in themselves and to work towards their dreams, while trusting God,” said Naqeesha.

Her plans include pursuing her studies in Educational Psychology to become an Educational Psychologist or going to teach overseas.

She currently is teaching at CW Hendrickse Primary School in a SGB post.

Naqeesha previously featured in the UD in 2013 as top achiever at CW Hendrickse Primary school and again in 2018 as one of the top achievers in matric at Riebeek College Girls’ High School.
