Two 18-year-old men have been arrested for drug dealing in Kraaifontein after being found in possession of illegal street drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds of crime, in what has been a productive day of intelligence-driven policing for Operation Prosper across the Western Cape.
The Kraaifontein arrests took place at approximately 17:30 on Monday, 25 May in Buiten Street, when members conducting patrol operations acted on intelligence about suspected drug activity in the area, according to a spokesperson of the provincial police commissioner.
The two suspects were found in possession of 30 sachets of tik, nine sachets of cocaine, six Mandrax tablets.
“Both have been arrested for dealing in drugs and will appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court once formally charged,” says the spokesperson.

He was arrested for dealing in and possession of drugs and detained at Muizenberg SAPS. He will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court once charged.
The arrests form part of ongoing patrol operations conducted by Operation Prosper, a Western Cape police initiative targeting drug-related crime and other criminal activity across the province.
