Recent storms and heavy rainfall have caused significant damage across several communities, leaving many families dealing with flooded homes, damaged structures and loss of essential household items in Table View and surrounding areas.
In response, TLC Outreach Projects has stepped in to assist affected households and is calling on the public for urgent donations to support ongoing relief efforts.
The organisation says the scale of need has grown rapidly, with many residents requiring immediate assistance to begin repairing and rebuilding their homes.
Urgent need for essential household items
TLC Outreach Projects is appealing for donations of drop sheets, nails, wooden boards, blankets, clothing, warm jackets, mattresses and general household goods to assist families impacted by the flooding.
Financial contributions are also being encouraged to help the organisation respond quickly to urgent needs on the ground and provide direct support where it is most needed.
Donations can be dropped off at the organisation’s offices, with collection arrangements available for larger contributions.
Rebuilding homes and restoring dignity
The organisation says its teams are actively supporting affected families with emergency relief and practical assistance aimed at helping them recover from storm damage.
TLC Outreach Projects has been working in vulnerable communities in and around Table View since 2000, focusing on children at risk, the elderly and destitute youth, and says its current response forms part of its long-standing community-based work.
According to the organisation, the immediate focus is on restoring safe living conditions and helping families regain stability after the destruction caused by the storms.
Community-driven relief effort
TLC Outreach Projects is urging residents, businesses and community partners to support the relief drive, saying that collective action is essential in helping families recover from the impact of the disaster.
The organisation emphasised that ongoing support will play a key role in ensuring that vulnerable households are not left behind in the recovery process as rebuilding continues.
