A constable at Kleinvlei police station was arrested on a charge of murder last night
(Thursday 19 April).  

Provincial police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk
confirms that the 23-year-old police officer was arrested at about 20:30 by
detectives from the Provincial Organised Crime Investigations Unit following an
investigation into the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Mfuleni on the
morning of 10 September 2017.

The constable is being detained at Bellville-South
Police Station and is set to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate Court on
Monday 23 April.
