The TLC Love Foundation, a registered nonprofit organisation that has been making a significant difference in the Bellville community since 2015, is gearing up for an impactful festive season while reflecting on a year filled with meaningful community initiatives.

Throughout 2025, the foundation has demonstrated its commitment to community upliftment through various projects that have touched thousands of lives. Their flagship “Feed 5 000 project” successfully delivered approximately 8 000 meals to community members in need, while their blanket drive provided crucial winter support to the MES night shelter.

One of their standout achievements was the DREAM AGAIN youth community project in June this year, which brought together approximately 300 young people for empowerment activities. The foundation also organised targeted support through their “Empower Her” and “Empower Him” events, addressing the specific needs of both women and men in the community.

The foundation’s success has been amplified through strategic partnerships with established organisations. Their collaboration with Juta resulted in the donation and distribution of thousands of books to local schools and nonprofit organisations, supporting educational initiatives across the region.

Working alongside Gift of the Givers and Hewlin Compassion, the TLC Love Foundation conducted youth outreach programmes that delivered food to approximately 2 000 students. Additionally, their visits to the children’s cancer ward at Tygerberg Hospital have provided comfort and support to young patients and their families during challenging times.

In partnership with The Love Church, the foundation is offering social assistance during the festive season. Community members in need can request support by emailing michelle@dream-again.co.za.

The Love Church will also be hosting special festive services open to the community:

  • Christmas Eve Service: 24 December at 19:00
  • Christmas Day Service: 25 December at 09:00
  • New Year’s Eve Service: 31 December at 21:30

All services will be held at The Love Church, located at 20 Sultana Street, Shirley Park, Bellville.

Looking ahead to 2026

The foundation is already planning for the future, with an exciting youth camp scheduled for 2026 targeting young people aged 12-18. This initiative will focus on youth empowerment and community building, continuing the organisation’s mission to bring hope and restore dignity in the community.

As a registered public benefit organisation (PBO), the TLC Love Foundation has established itself as a vital community resource, addressing diverse needs from food security to education, youth development, and healthcare support.
