Another talent search event will take place in Mitchells Plain next month, offering local artists the chance to showcase their skills while creating job opportunities for the community.
Last weekend, Mitchells Plain Star Search held it’s first round of auditions, as part of the area’s 50th anniversary celebrations and on Saturday, 25 April, Young Dynasty NPO and Star Struck Records will hold auditions at Dagbreek Hall Market from 10:00 to 13:00. The event forms part of preparations for the expansion of the Blue Downs Family Festival, scheduled for 24 September at Westridge Gardens.
Community talent takes centre stage
The auditions will allow emerging artists to perform in front of a live audience within the busy market setting. Organisers aim to discover and support local talent from Mitchells Plain and nearby areas.
The event will also provide additional opportunities for residents, including job sign-ups for festival positions and a platform for service providers to present their offerings directly to organisers.
The initiative comes as Mitchells Plain marks its 50th anniversary, with Young Dynasty NPO emphasising its commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for local residents.
