The Goodwood Community Policing Forum (CPF) has commended local civic organisations and residents of Monte Vista and Plattekloof Glen for donating essential supplies to the victim support room at the Goodwood Police Station.
In a recent donation drive, the residents of Monte Vista and Plattekloof Glen and local neighbourhood watches stepped forward to contribute essential supplies of toiletries and sanitary products.
According to the CPF, these items are critical in restoring dignity and providing comfort to victims of crime and trauma who seek emergency assistance at the station.
‘A truly positive impact’
“The donations have a truly positive impact on those who require it most in a time when they need it most. This generosity highlights the incredible strength of our community networks when working together to support the vulnerable,” said Mogammad Rajab, CPF spokesperson.
The Victim Support Room operates as a safe, private space within the police station, offering immediate emotional and practical comfort to individuals in distress, Rajab said.
How to donate
The CPF expressed its thanks to all community members whose continued volunteerism and donations keep this vital service operational. Anyone who wishes to make a donation is encouraged to contact Sgt Lucille Fortune at 021 592 4601 or 021 592 4602.
