Residents of Strandfontein and surrounding areas are invited to a free community workshop on drawing up a Last Will and Testament, to be held on Thursday 14 May 2026.
The event is hosted jointly by the Strandfontein Community Police Forum (CPF) and Nadia Moses Real Estates, and is open to everyone at no charge.
The workshop aims to help community members understand why having a valid will matters, and how to plan their estates properly — including how to report a deceased estate to the Master of the High Court.
Topics to be covered on the day include:
- The importance of a Last Will & Testament
- Shari’ah compliant wills and estate planning
- Deceased estate reporting and planning
- Complications and delays in estate administration
A question-and-answer session
Lawyers specialising in deceased estates will be on hand to answer any legal questions.
The workshop takes place at 5 Cruiser Street, Strandfontein Hall — the brown face-brick building on the corner of Welgelegen and Cruiser Street. Doors open at 10:30am for an 11:00 start.
You are encouraged to think about your assets and beneficiaries beforehand, and to come prepared.
Please bring:
- Your identity document (ID) and a copy of thereof
- Proof of address (such as a rates account or similar)
- The ID numbers of your chosen beneficiaries
On the day, you will be helped to draw up your Last Will & Testament free of charge.
