A total of R4 500 was raised by selling Mould Empower Serve (MES) vouchers for homeless people at the Love of Christ Market, which was held this past Saturday (11 April) at the Crossway Church in Goedemoed, Durbanville.

There were stalls selling food, coffee, clothing, leather goods, wall hangings, wooden items, sewn goods, beauty products, mugs, crotchet items, lamps, books, pillows, bags, bath products, children’s items, jewellery, oils and stones. There was also a prayer corner.

Passionate

The market was the idea of Roxanne van Niekerk, a church member who is passionate about Christ-honouring business and products. She is also involved in the worship team ministry at the Crossway Church.

“My heart is to bring the love of Christ to people in everyday circumstances. I got fed up going to places seeing blasphemous products and decided to hold my own market with items to uplift people and encourage them in their faith,” she says.
