Motor dealers from across the Western Cape were recognised for their achievements at the annual Independent Dealer Association (IDA) Legacy Awards Ceremony held at the De Grendel Wine Farm in Cape Town this week.
The event, which recognises dealers’ exceptional performance, took place on Tuesday 23 June.
The IDA was founded in 1998 to address the need for a professional association representing independent motor dealers and to help establish and maintain professional standards within the industry. Since its inception, it has evolved into an organisation that effectively serves both motor dealers and the buying public, said Noddy Schutte, founding member of the IDA.

The IDA currently has more than 700 members nationwide, of whom 201 operate in the Western Cape.
Schutte said, in recognition of the loyalty and commitment of long-standing members, the IDA had decided to honour those who maintained their membership for more than 20 years with a Certificate of Recognition, thanking them for their continued support over the years.
