Three children have reportedly died in a fire in Valhalla Park this morning (9 June).

According to Bishop Lavis police spokesperson, Constable Samantha Adonis the fire occurred in a backyard dwelling at 19 Hazel Street, Valhalla Park.

Adonis says when police arrived at the scene at about 07:00 they were informed that the deceased include a 12-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy who all died as a result of the fire.

“The mother of the deceased and two other children, a 3-year-old and the 10-year-old survived the fire,” she says.

Adonis says the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
