Metro police K9 officers arrested a 36-year-old man for drug possession in Brackenfell last night.
Spokesperson for the City’s metro police department Ruth Solomons says officers pulled over a silver VW Polo Vivo for a traffic violation in Paradys Road at around 19:45 on Thursday night.
“Upon interviewing the driver, they noticed he appeared nervous. As the officers searched the vehicle, K9 Leia led her handler to find 15 packets of cocaine hidden in a sock under the driver’s seat,” says Solomons, confirming that the drugs have an estimated street value of R4000.
The suspect was then arrested for the possession of drugs and was detained at Brackenfell police station.
