A suspect was arrested for drug possession near PnP Hyper in Brackenfell over the weekend after a joint operation between SJC Security‘s tactical team and Brackenfell police uncovered 14 packets of tik and one packet of cocaine.

The arrest followed a Be On the Lookout (Bolo) alert for a silver Volkswagen Polo, which was identified entering the parking lot adjacent to PnP Hyper.

“The team immediately proceeded to the location and engaged in a coordinated effort with Brackenfell police. Upon arrival, the parking area was systematically patrolled, where the identified vehicle was located parked in the lot. The team positioned themselves at a distance and monitored the situation, anticipating the driver’s return,” says SJC.

“Shortly thereafter, the driver approached the vehicle. The tactical team acted swiftly, blocking the vehicle within the parking area.”

In coordination with Brackenfell police, a search was conducted. During the process, evidence was uncovered indicating the suspect’s involvement in the sale of drugs.

Brackenfell police remained on the scene, and the suspect, vehicle, and confiscated drugs were handed over and transported to the Brackenfell Police Station for further investigation and processing.
