Entertainer Chivonne Kemp, widely known as Von D, will host his first Swag Juice Launch and Fundraiser, opening doors for up-and-coming entertainers who often lack access to the industry.
The event — on 16 May 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00, at Dagbreek Hall in Westridge, Mitchells Plain, next door to the fire station — marks a significant step for the national music award winner, TV award recipient, actor, singer, rapper and entrepreneur on his business journey and commitment to creating opportunities for young people.

How the event works
Entry costs a R50 donation, which includes a complimentary Swag Juice on arrival. Von D is aiming for at least 70 people attending.
The event is backed by Young Dynasty NPO and BluedownsFest, which have contributed towards securing the venue and helped with logistics to ensure a successful launch.
Funding a film and creating jobs
The fundraiser forms part of a broader plan to fund an upcoming film project set to begin production in September 2026. Von D has already held auditions in Mitchell’s Plain and Wellington to find local talent, and plans to hold at least two fundraising events to create real job opportunities for young people across different communities.
The event also connects to the Starstruck Awards, an initiative aimed at opening doors for up-and-coming entertainers who often lack access to the industry.
