Tributes shared
In its statement, the foundation said Trevor was deeply loved by his family and remembered as a devoted son and father.
“He was a son who was deeply loved, a brother woven into his sisters’ lives, a father whose children now carry him in their hearts,” the statement reads.
The foundation added that words could not fully express the depth of the family’s grief, saying it stands with the Tutu family “in love and in prayer”.
Messages of sympathy have begun to pour in for the Tutu family, who remain one of South Africa’s most well-known families due to the legacy of the late Archbishop Emeritus Desmond and Leah Tutu.
The foundation extended its support to Leah Tutu and Trevor’s sisters, Thandeka, Naomi and Mpho, as well as his children and all those who knew and loved him.
Cause of death not known
At the time of publication, NovaNews was still awaiting information regarding the cause of death. Further details are expected to be released once confirmed by the family or relevant authorities.
The Legacy Foundation concluded its message with a tribute, saying: “May Trevor rest in peace and rise in glory.”
