ROBERTSON – On Friday 19 May Robertson Winery held a team-building event on their premises for its personnel in the form of a sports day.
The personnel, divided into five teams – Merlot, Pinotage, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc – competed against one another in five different sport codes, rugby, soccer, netball, darts, and tug-of-war. The sports activities ended off with an obstacle course.
The rivalry among the participants was in good sportsmanship, and as the day progressed it became one full of fun, laughter and fantastic interaction among employees.
The winning teams were Merlot (rugby and tug-of-war), Sauvignon Blanc (netball), Chardonnay (darts and soccer). Sauvignon Blanc walked away the winners of the obstacle course too.
Pinotage received the trophy for the best spirit.
A prize-giving ceremony was held afterwards, where the winning teams were compensated with gifts for their efforts during the day.
Some employees received vouchers when their names were drawn in a lucky draw.
