The police station’s Community Policing Forums (CPFs) in Riebeek-West would like to invite all organisations in the respective policing precinct to register as members.

“The Community Policing Forums bring the police and community together, assisting in bridging the gap between the public and the police to solve problems and challenges of crime,” said the South African Police Service. “If we work together, we can make our community a safe community.”

The aims of the CPF include establishing and maintaining a partnership between the community and police as well as promote communication between the two, promoting cooperation between them in fulfilling the needs of the community regarding policing and improving the rendering of services to the community.

The CPF also promotes joint problem identification and solving, assisting with the initiation and coordination of social-crime prevention programmes, in conjunction with the police and other departments.

Organisations are invited to join and play an active role in crime prevention in their area.

Registration forms can be collected from the station’s CPF coordinator or existing CPF members.

The election takes place on Thursday evening (24 October 2024) at 19:00 at the Riebeek-West POP Centre.

“Together we can make a difference,” the police declared.
