The long winter break is finally over and schools rugby explodes back into action this weekend with a mouth-watering menu of fixtures lined up for Saturday 25 July. Amongst the standout clashes, one match towers above the rest, Affies’ trip down to Maritzburg to take on Maritzburg College in what promises to be an absolute belter between two sides carrying momentum into the final third of the season.
Affies arrive on fire
The Pretoria giants head to KwaZulu-Natal carrying the swagger that comes with a five-match winning streak compiled before the winter break. That run of form has established Affies as genuine title contenders, their trademark forward brutality married to backline creativity that has dismantled opposition defences with ruthless efficiency.

Crucially, Affies could welcome back Fourie Roberts, their standout scrumhalf whose absence has been keenly felt during the recent stretch.
