Next week Cape Town’s Table Mountain takes centre stage once again. The RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town runs from 21-23 November 2025 at Table Mountain National Park.
This prestigious World Trail Majors event transforms mountain trails into an epic arena. Over 2,800 runners from 55+ countries will participate in this year’s event.
The economic impact is approximately R150 million for the local economy. Gardens Rugby Club on Montreal Avenue serves as the race village.
The Cape Town community remains integral to the event’s global success. International runners consistently praise the incredible local support along the routes.
“Local support is a major part of what the event means to the community,” says Race Director Stuart McConnachie.
Spectators can cheer runners at key aid stations throughout the course. Prime locations include Gardens Rugby Club, Newlands Forest Picnic Area, and Hout Bay Aid Station.

RMB UTCT offers six distances designed to challenge every level of runner. All races finish at the Race Village for unified celebrations.
Just 16 runners finished the inaugural 100km race in 2014. The latest event attracts 2,800 participants from around the world annually.
The event now forms part of the prestigious World Trail Majors series. This positions Cape Town alongside the world’s most coveted ultra-trail competitions.
Thirty-five per cent of participants travel from over 55 countries worldwide. France, the UK, America, Germany, and Italy provide significant international participation.
