The campaign was facilitated by the school safety officer. The school premises were thoroughly searched as well as approximately 1 123 learners were searched.

The campaign went beyond than just a school search. This was also used as an opportunity to address learners about several issues of concern.

Law enforcement addressed learners on substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, bullying, gangsterism, dangerous weapons and assault.

Officers confiscated small packets of dagga, e-cigarettes, a knife and snuff.

The SAPS works with stakeholders to create safer school environments for learners and educators.
