The Legend Runner Uphill Challenge takes place on 12 March and promises to be a classic event.

The event starts at the Taal Monument Paarl were contestants can choose between an 8,5 km uphill run or walk to Paarl Rock and then a 5 km hike back down to the monument. All finishers will receive a medal.

Early-bird entrants pay R250, an offer that expires on 1 March, after which the full price is R300.

Registrations and number collections take place from 06:30 to 07:30 on 12 March at the Amphitheatre at the Taal Monument.

And on 6 and 7 May another exciting challenge takes place with Legend Runner Obstacle Race taking place in Paarl.

This year will very much see Legend Runner get back to pre-Covid status with a 7 and 15 km obstacle race through Paarl and the slopes of Paarl Mountain as well as a very exciting edition in the form of the first ever Interschools 2 km Challenge.

Entrants are again invited to dress up for this fun event with this year’s theme being Run like a Zombie. There will be prizes at stake for best dressed runners.

Entry fee per person:

Interschools Challenge: R120 – primary school athletes; R150 – high school athletes. Early Bird entries (until 28 February): 7 km – R200; 15 km – R250; T-shirt – R150. Afterwards, the full price: 7 km – R350; 15 km – R450; T-shirt – R200.
