Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Johannesburg Mini Council and Junior Council always visited the Western Cape during the June holidays. A highlight was always the hour or three the Paarl JTC could spend with them, exchanging experiences, getting to know one another. What a privilege, once again, to be able to spend time together this year. The Johannesburg group was joined by members of Wellington and Paarl junior town councils for lunch and a tour of Green School South Africa (GSSA). Peter Joubert’s inspiring presentation and tour of GSSA’s recycling initiative left everyone motivated to engage in sustained ecologically responsible behaviour.
