During the second weekend of club matches, Paarl Hockey Club (PHC) gained momentum.
On Saturday 13 April its men’s first team beat Durbanville first 3-0 on Curro Durbanville AstroTurf, with all Paarl’s goals scored by Rowan McLachlan.
PHC men’s seccies, however, lost Durbanville seccies 1-3 with Paarls Bredon Rix scoring their only goal.
Men over 35 drew Fish Hoek Club 1-1 on Wynberg High turf, with Paarls Arno de Beer scoring.
The over-35 mixed team lost against Pinelands 2-5 at Pinelands, with PHC goals scored by Gerda Swanevelder (1) and Jean Marie (1)
On Sunday 14 April, PHC ladies’ seccies lost against their Van der Stel opponents 0-4 in Stellenbosch. It was an off weekend for the PHC ladies’ first team.This coming weekend fixtures for Saturday 20 April are:. Men’s 1st plays Mutual on Paarl Gymnasium High at 15:00 .
