Breaking news: Ninth woman’s body recovered in Dawn Park, Ekurhuleni
DAWN PARK, Ekurhuleni – Police have confirmed the discovery of another woman’s body in Dawn Park, bringing the total number of bodies recovered in the Ekurhuleni area to nine over the past two months.
The unidentified body was discovered earlier on Thursday morning, 17 September.
The latest discovery will be incorporated into ongoing investigations into the deaths of women whose bodies have been found in the region.
A multidisciplinary team of experts has been mobilised to work on the cases and assist in efforts to identify those responsible and bring them before the courts.
Police have appealed to community members with information that could assist the investigations to come forward.
Information can be provided to the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111. Anonymous tip-offs can also be submitted through the MySAPS app, which is available for download on smartphones.
“All information received will be treated with the strictest confidence,” police said.
