DUTYWA – Police are investigating two counts of murder, kidnapping and carjacking following the alleged execution-style killing of two men in Mtuvi Location, Dutywa, on Thursday night.
According to police spokesperson Captain Majola Nkohli, at about 23:00, police were summoned to a complaint of murder at a homestead in Mtuvi Location, Taleni Administrative Area.
He said that at the scene, police found the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that three unknown armed men stormed the first victim’s home while he was with his girlfriend.
“The suspects kidnapped the couple and hijacked the girlfriend’s vehicle,” he said.
He revealed that the couple was taken to the house of the second victim, who was also with his girlfriend.
“The two victims were fatally shot, while the two females were left unharmed.
“The getaway vehicle was found abandoned a few kilometres away, and the suspects are still at large,” he added.
