Cape Town’s most talented designers are set to showcase their commitment to sustainability this November, transforming thrifted finds into high fashion while supporting a heartwarming cause.
The Re-Loved Fashion Show on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November at Simon’s restaurant, Groot Constantia will spotlight local creative talent alongside adorable adoptable rescue dogs.
Leading the charge are established South African designers including award-winning Lara Klawikowski, known for her avant-garde handcrafted wearable art, and VictorK Couture, specialising in luxury made-to-measure eveningwear. They’ll be joined by mother-daughter duo Me&B, performer-designer Manila Von Teez with her Haus of Vjorn label, and Mareth Colleen founders Coleen Lesch and Mareth van der Walt. The next generation of South African fashion will also shine, with students from Cape Town College of Fashion Design, Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design, and the Fashion Institute of Garment Technology (FIGT) presenting their sustainable creations.
“This event celebrates the incredible talent in our local fashion industry while demonstrating how creativity can drive positive change,” said Jackie Quail from sponsors Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

Each designer will transform pre-loved pieces into runway-worthy couture, proving that sustainable fashion doesn’t compromise on style. The South African fashion scene’s commitment to both innovation and social responsibility takes center stage as models share the runway with TEARS rescue dogs seeking forever homes. Hosted by comedian Angel Campey, the event benefits TEARS Animal Rescue through auctions of designer pieces and donations, with 100% of ticket proceeds supporting the charity’s vital work.
- Tickets are available on Quicket, including welcome drink, canapés, fashion show, and dog interactions.
