JEFFREYS BAY – A 46-year-old woman was found dead outside a house in Ocean View, Jeffreys Bay, on the morning of 7 August, while a 55-year-old woman found at the scene was arrested and a spade and knife suspected to be the murder weapons were seized.

According to police spokesperson Captain Marius McCarthy, police were summoned to a complaint in Ocean View at approximately 08:00 on 8 August.

He said that, upon arrival, police found the body of a woman lying in front of a house in New Rest, Ocean View.

McCarthy said she was declared dead at the scene by EMS.

He further said that a woman who was also found at the scene was arrested.

“A spade and a knife, suspected to be the murder weapons, found at the scene, were seized,” said McCarthy.

He said the suspect is expected to appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court soon.

McCarthy said the investigation is ongoing.
