Vitality Netball World Cup trophy tour will be showcased in the Sarah Baartman District Municipality from July 2 to 3.

The Netball World Cup trophy will be showcased in Graaff-Reinet on July 2, thereafter it will be heading to the Kouga region on July 3 before the trophy is handed over to the Western Cape.

The trophy will travel across the country ahead of the Vitality Netball World Cup which will take place in Cape Town from July 28 to August 6.

Executive mayor of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Deon de Vos, announced that the Netball World Cup Trophy Tour will make its way to the district from July 2 to 3.

“Community members are invited to join the tour at the various locations,” said De Vos.

The trophy will be on display on July 2 from 09:00 to 12:00 at Hoër Volkskool, in Graaff-Reinet.

On July 3, the trophy will be showcased at two different locations in the Kouga regions namely, Stulting Primary School in Humansdorp from 09:00 to 11:00 and Paul Sauer High School Sports Field in Kareedouw from 11:00 to 13:00.

De Vos said the hand over of the trophy to the Western Cape will take place on July 3 as well.

“The hand-over of the trophy from the Eastern Cape to the Western Cape will take place at the Khoisan Village in Tsitsikamma on July 3,” said de Vos.
